The ruins of this castle, bisected by a sandstone moat, stand 350 metres above sea level
Rising to an altitude of 350 meters, it takes about half an hour to walk to the ruins of this castle, which is bisected by a sandstone moat. In the eastern part, you'll find beam anchors and a grain silo dug into the rock, while in the semi-troglodytic western part, you'll see a seigniorial dwelling with its annexes, outbuildings, bailey and defense system. Built in the 13th century for the knights of Ettendorf, it was divided many times and passed from hand to hand until 1677, when it was destroyed.
