A place full of history, ideal for learning about geology and mineralogy in Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines.
With 30 years of archaeological research on the mining heritage of the Val d'Argent, ASEPAM offers you the opportunity to discover 2 mines, just as the miners abandoned them : - The Saint Louis-Eisenthür silver mine "Undoubtedly the most beautiful Renaissance silver mine in Europe" P. Fluck, Institut Universitaire de France. Travel nearly 1 km of underground networks to discover the mining techniques of the 16th century. - The Gabe Gottes mine, the life of the veins The last mine exploited in the Val d'Argent, opened in the 16th century, closed in 1940. A place steeped in history, ideal for learning about geology and mineralogy.
