A foothill of the Hohwald massif, 901 meters above sea level, separating the cantons of Villé and Barr at Dambch-la-Ville.
From its 901 meters of altitude, the Ungersberg (Hungarian Mountain) is a foothill of the Hohwald massif which separates the cantons of Villé and Barr. Its natural wealth is exceptional because the Ungersberg supplies the surrounding villages with drinking water, hunting is prized there and its coniferous and deciduous forest allows for forestry exploitation. The Ungersberg has many hiking trails marked out by the Club Vosgien. From the Héring tower (built in 1864), the view on the Alsace plain and on the Vosges mountains is magnificent!
