HÔTEL RESTAURANT LES VOSGES * *
Country hotel-restaurant with terrace overlooking the Doller river below in Sewen
Set in a 1920s house with a touch of Vosges ruggedness, it's an instant trip back in time. This hotel is absolutely charming! A country hotel that is gradually being renovated with great taste and enthusiasm! The overall decor is elegant and takes you back in time. We really appreciate the vintage feel with all the modern comforts! Jean-Michel Kieffer represents the third generation of his family to bring this place to life. A terrace overlooks the Doller River below, in the midst of a truly bucolic landscape. As for the bedrooms, they vary in size and each has its own character. This is in stark contrast to the uniform, soulless appearance of the new hotel chains. The restaurant offers a traditional menu based on local gastronomy. And yet, when you've worked at Bocuse, you might be tempted by the molecular high-end... But nay! The chef does, however, take the liberty of revisiting certain specialties in his own way, such as the snail delight with lactaire, a delicious peppery mushroom.
