The Centre Schweitzer reopened its doors on August 2, 2023, after 3 years of extension and renovation work. Located in the heart of the good doctor's native village of Lambaréné, this interpretation center invites you to follow in the footsteps of the Nobel Peace Prize winner and discover the humanist values that underpin Albert Schweitzer's universalist work: freedom, tolerance and mutual respect. Built around a unique museographic trail, the fun and original tour is suitable for visitors of all ages.

A la découverte de la vie d'Albert Schweitzer, prix noble de la paix.dans un édifice tout neuf, très bien agencé. On suit les pas de cet homme avec beaucoup d'émotions. Un musée a visiter !

Dieses Museum ist ein Muss für alle, die in Kaysersberg sind. Gut gemachte Ausstellung, allerdings ist die Chronologie der Exponate etwas verwirrend (fängt mit dem Nobelpreis an). Gut, dass auch gezeigt wird, welche Wirkung Schweitzer über sein Urwaldkrankenhaus hinaus für das Weltgeschehen hatte. Solche Menschen braucht die Welt nach wie vor - oder erst recht. Das Museum ist ein wohltuender, weil seriöser Kontrapunkt zum konsumorientierten Touristenrummel in Kaysersberg.

On ne peut qu'être respectueux devant le parcours et la vie d'un tel homme. C'est d'autant plus important d'avoir des lieux consacrés à sa mémoire pour qu'il ne tombe jamais dans l'oubli.
