La Lucarne aux Chouettes is a former grain barn turned gourmet restaurant and inn since actress Leslie Caron transformed it in the 90s. Since then, the Franco-American star has handed over the reins, but the quality remains intact. On the menu, fresh and often local produce. For starters, we liked the trout gravelax with citrus fruits and a quenelle of minty fresh herb cream on toast, followed by sautéed prawns. Also worth noting are the 3 pretty rooms, the fine wine cellar and the terrace overlooking the Yonne.
