En dépit de la présence d'un parc de loisirs (Armoripark), de l'Abbaye du Bon Sauveur, ou du Palacret (à Saint-Laurent juste à côté) et ses animations nature, Bégard est surtout au cœur d'un ensemble plus vaste, incluant le Ménez Bré, un site naturel splendide, où les randonnées sont nombreuses et variées, à peu de distance, par exemple, de Guingamp (Petite cité de caractère), de Belle-Isle-en-Terre ou encore de Runan et son enclos paroissial.
