CHAPEL OF THE PENITY OF SAINT-BRIAC
Go there and contact
Chapel in height and near a secular yew tree, with an altar of the XIV century that is among its oldest elements.
In Breton language, a penity is a small monastery. This is how this chapel is located on the heights of Langoat, on the site of the penity created in his time by Saint-Briac, who wished to retire in a discreet place. The 14th century altar is one of the oldest elements of the chapel. When it was restored in 1823, the chapel adopted a rectangular plan. Note the age-old yew tree, a sacred tree and place of worship in the immediate vicinity of the building.
