NOTRE-DAME CHURCH OF CANIHUEL

Built in the 15th century, the Canihuel church preserved elements of a first 14th century building, others of 1474 and others of the 16th and 19th centuries. Typically Breton, it is placed under the Notre-Dame patronage. The sand pits were carved by Olivier de Loërgan. For the decor, the stained-glass of the bedside table represents the life of the Virgin Mary, a moulded tabernacle made with polychrome and gilded wood is also eye-catching. Its arched door is adorned with a chalice.
