Built on a hill in the 15th century at Saint Vincent Ferrier's request, it also bears the nickname "red chapel" because of its superb 14th century panels which are painted on wood panelling, and represent 132 paintings illustrating the Old and New Testament, the Sainte Marguerite and Saint Fiacre legends. Start by the highest southern register at the end of the chancel in order to enjoy the reading of these paintings. The story begins with the creation of angels and ends with the banishment of Adam and Eve from paradise. The following register - Upper North - traces the episode of Cain and Abel, the second southern register represents the 12 prophets and the Nativity, the second northern register evokes the Adoration of the magi and the Baptism of Christ and the fourth and last register showcases the Ascension and Pentecost. After all these, you can discover other paintings that depict legends. You can also discover the eye-catching furniture as well as the 3 16th century statues and the altarpiece of the main altar built in 1589 and restored in 1852 by Charles from La Haye.
