CORLAY CASTLE

The ruins of the feudal castle, built by Henry de Corlay in 1195, showcase the history of Corlay. This castle was destroyed for the first time during the hundred years' war, rebuilt at the end of the fifteenth century and dismantled in 1598 by Henry IV. Nowadays, these ruins overlook a pond, around which you can take a pleasant walk. The streets of Linen and Fil are also ideal for a walk and to remember when the region prospered thanks to linen. Lovers of Armorica history will have to visit Haut-Corlay, where the Coulombs butte; the oldest Armorica monument is found.
