This basilica overlooking the River Rance is one of the most original in Brittany.
This basilica, which overhangs the Rance, is one of the most original in Brittany. It was built in the 12th century, with a Romanesque-Byzantine façade, and developed in flamboyant Gothic style in the 15th and 16th centuries. Also worth seeing: the monumental granite credence table, the vault of the basilica, a stained glass window representing the four evangelists or the font at the bottom of which appear two fish in high relief symbolizing the life brought by baptism. Do not forget to admire the statuette representing the Virgin and Child.

Après une excursion dans la vieille ville, terminer par un détour à la Basilique. Superbe bâtiment ou s’assemble l’art Gothique et roman. Entrer par la grande porte pour d’découvrir le chœur et tourner à 180° pour avoir la vue sur l’orgue. C’est magnifique. Les éclatantes couleurs des vitraux laissent transpercer de la lumière coloré sur les murs intérieurs.
La basilique retrace beaucoup d’histoires sur la Bretagne .Prendre le dépliant au SI.
