Tower offering a magnificent panoramic view of the Dinan region and the Rance valley.

Erected at the end of the 15th century by the Dinannais bourgeoisie, the Clock Tower towers 47 meters above the medieval town. In 1501, Duchess Anne granted the Dinannais the privilege of owning a clock in their communal tower. The mechanism, manufactured in Nantes and still visible today, is one of the oldest in Europe. The climb up the steps is rewarded by a breathtaking panorama of the Dinan region and the Rance valley. Also worth seeing is the film Dinan in 1750, based on computer-generated images.

La montée à la tour de l'horloge vaut le détour, elle offre une vue magnifique à 360 degrés sur la ville de Dinan. Je recommande aussi la visite du château de Dinan et de la Cathédrale Saint Sauveur, les jardins anglais, le tour des remparts, et la descente par la rue Jerzual avec ses magnifiques maisons traditionnelles à pans de bois jusqu'au port de plaisance.

Der Uhrenturm von Dinan steht im Herzen der historischen Altstadt. Der Eintritt kostet für einen Erwachsenen 4,-- €, für eine Familie 11,-- €. Das ist fair, denn der mittelalterliche Turm ist nicht nur gut erhaltenen, sondern man hat von oben einen wunderbaren Blick! Gut zu erkennen ist der Struktur der mittelalterlichen Stadt. Schön wäre nur, wenn die Informationstafeln zweisprachig wären. Zumindest in die englische Sprache könnten die französischen Texte übersetzt werden.

Vale la pena pagar los 6 euros para subir. La vista 360 permite tener un panorama completo de Dinan, se sube fácilmente, sólo el último tramo implica una escalera recta.
En la cercanía hay baños públicos y una plaza con bancos donde pudimos comer algo que había llevado.
