AUX BERGES DE LA THUR
Unusual house with garden and swimming pool offering decorated guest rooms with a view of the old potash mines
Bed and breakfast in an unusual house! The house itself is a beautiful manor dating from 1926, but the originality of the place lies in its geographical location. Right in the heart of the mining town of Staffelfelden, the Cité Rossamend, declared "the most beautiful working-class town in France", stands this majestic residence inhabited by the last director of the potash mines! The Cité has real character, and its streets bear fairytale names: Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty... Outside, you'll have a beautiful view of the old potash mines, a lovely garden adjoining La Thur and a lovely pool to cool off in the hot summer days. Rémy and Clarisse have taken great pleasure in arranging four pretty rooms, all beginning with the letter K, the letter K being the first letter of the name of these charming hosts. The rooms have been decorated with great flair and character. A special highlight: breakfast! And it's not by chance, since the host of these premises runs a famous pastry shop in Soultz, la pâtisserie Rémy K. So gourmands will be more than delighted when they jump out of bed! We also recommend the table d'hôte on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
