With its austere and imposing appearance, nestled behind a pond, this castle is worth a visit. Before reaching it, a walk on a narrow carriage road... On arrival, you will find yourself face to face with one of the most historic buildings in the Rance valley. Conceived as a stronghold, it was equipped with a water level which contributes to its defences. The whole, tower, main building, chapel, outbuildings and dovecote, is surrounded by ponds. Note the number and size of the chimneys that crown the building: 12 shafts of 5 to 8 meters high!
