SAINT-MAGLOIRE ABBEY
Royal abbey with a pretty cloister and a medieval garden of aromatic and medicinal plants on the banks of the Rance, in Léhon.
The Royal Abbey of Saint-Magloire is a former monastery of Benedictine monks founded in the 9th century. Abandoned during the French Revolution, it was restored in the 19th century. It preserves an attractive cloister housing a medieval garden of aromatic and medicinal plants. Also worth seeing: the listed refectory and the park stretching as far as the Rance river. Every summer, the cultural program, artists in residence and several exhibitions revolve around a new theme. A restful, enchanting place.
