Veneration from Saint Brieuc to Merdrignac is linked to the history of the 7 founding saints, who give the name Brittany to the Armorique in the th century. This chapel is located on an ancient road leading to Saint-Méen, the name of another abbot Welsh. According to tradition, an oratory initially stood in this place. There is nothing but a calvary, as well as a baptismal tank of the th century.
