MAISON DE LA CHOUANNERIE ET DE LA REVOLUTION
Six halls mark the history of the Revolution in Brittany, when royalist chouans and Republicans clashed. The city of Moncontour, displaying revolutionary ideas, hit the countryside, traditionally royalist. Boishardy - 1762-1795 - former Royal Navy led a counter-revolution in the surrounding cities and surrendered to a real guerrilla. A truce agreement was signed in March 1795 between Boishardy and General Hoche. However, the fighting was resumed, until the capture of Boishardy, whose head planted on a peak of the town. In 2009, the Maison de la Chouannerie et de la Revolution changed: a temporary exhibition with the theme of the grocery store will be presented, replacing theme 2008 around the horse.
