Café restaurant with view on the port offering fruit platters in Paimpol.
Café-estaurant du Port is the good address that offers you at the same time the view of the marina and the dish bursting with freshness! As soon as the fine days, the terrace (heated at the beginning of April) offers a very enjoyable stopover. The fruit platters hold a very important place on the à la carte menu and whose composition caters for all appetites (from €12). Oysters, langoustines, almonds, clams, hard shell clams, crabs, winkles... there is no doubt that the sea will give you appetite! Beautiful salads, meats - skewers of calf's kidneys, grilled kig sal ( grilled bacon) -, fish - skate with the nasturtium capers, monkfish in Armorican way, cod dish aïoli - complete the à la carte menu. That day, we placed our trust on the fish of the day: a hake fillet in beurre blanc sauce accompanied by potatoes and zucchinis seasoned with parsley. Served quickly, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The small plus, the churned butter (to please oneself a little but so much good!) can be enjoyed in 3 flavors: slightly salted cream-cheese, with Espelette pepper and the algae on a crusty bread. Plancoët fines bulles, bolée de Paimpol or a glass of Sancerre are perfect accompaniment of your dishes. The desserts are simple but all homemade, they go from the traditional sugar and apple pie, via the caramel custard. Inside, the setting is friendly with its rotunda-shaped bar, its chestnut-color floor and its black wood panelling. The service is attentive and the quality-price ratio is really interesting. A good address that we have recommended for years now!
