PLEUDANIEL CHURCH
This chapel can be visited and show a glimpse of a pulpit of the 18th century, as well as baptismal fonts of the 15th century. Dedicated to Saint Pierre, the majority of the building dates back to the 17th century. Some elements of its structure are older and date back to the 15th century. Its west portal is from 1688 and its middle porch which dates back as far as 1705, was restored at the end of the 18th century. The church was originally dedicated to Saint Guinien or Vinien, brother of Judicaël, coming from Ireland to evangelize Armorica. They said Saint Arnec gave his little bishopric of Illy up. The church was several times rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries. The door was carved by a monk of the Abbey of Beauport in 1688. The Holy Virgin and Saint Pierre are featured there. The bell tower of 1692 was destroyed by lightning on several occasions. The sacristy dates back to 1785. The north tower dates back to 1782. The altarpiece of the high altar made with polychrome wood dates back to 1716. The Christ of 1785, equally in polychrome wood, is surrounded by Madeleine and a Roman soldier.
