Hotel-restaurant on the heights of Thann offering a restorative stay at good value for money
Nestling on the heights of Thann, this former café was enlarged in 1925 at the instigation of Joseph Christen. Passed down through the generations, Le Floridor has become an essential stopover. The rooms offer a restorative stay. On the catering side, the 5th generation brings an innovative touch with "Burger" formulas. The chef, a member of the Trout Route, keeps his hand on the traditional dishes! The address is epicurean and very good value for money.

Les chambres sont très propres
Good parking in front and possibility to store bikes which was very handy for us.
Loved the resto and the breakfast (10eur per person per day), which was very varied and tasty.
Resto food was also delicious, as well as the recommended aperitif maison - with elderflower and cremant d’Alsace.
In front of the hotel there are also tennis courts and a small pond with a handsome heron ????

Accueil très agréable. Personnel vraiment sympathique.
Le port du masque ainsi que le contrôle de pass sanitaire sont respectés.
L'hygiène : impeccable, y compris les toilettes.
En attendant le plat, une "minuscule" soupe aux légumes était proposée à chaque client.
Un seul bémol : mon plat - le carpe frite n'était pas comme dans mon souvenir, les carpes frites du Sundgau. Les fritures en forme ronde ou quelque chose comme ça, pour moi, n'étaient pas fraîches. En tout cas, elles avaient un goût très bizarre. L'avis partagé par deux amis, Sundgauviens et fins connaisseurs de cette spécialité. À la fin, un autre ami partageait le même avis sur son "dernier" morceau.
C'était le seul fausse note. Car tout a été impeccable du début à la fin. Le personnel a même changé de tables pour permettre à notre groupe de rester ensemble.
Même s'il faisait tard, personne nous a fait pression pour quitter le lieu.
J'espère sincèrement que c'était juste une incidence.
Pour le cadre idyllique, malheureusement il faisait noir, je n'ai pas pu contempler le lieu.

Very pleasant welcome. Really friendly staff.
The wearing of the mask as well as the sanitary pass control are respected.
Hygiene: impeccable, including the toilets.
While waiting for the dish, a "tiny" vegetable soup was offered to each client.
One negatif point : my dish - the fried carp was not like I remembered, the fried carp from Sundgau. Round shaped fries or something like that, to me, weren't fresh. Anyway, they had strange taste. The opinion shared by two friends, Sundgauviens and "connaisseurs" of this specialty. In the end, another friend shared the same opinion on his "last" piece.
This was the only negatif point. If not, everything was impeccable from A to Z. The staff even changed tables to allow our group to stay together.
Even though it was late, no one made pressure on us to leave the restaurant.
I sincerely hope it was just an incidence.
For the idyllic setting, unfortunately it was dark, I could not contemplate the place.
