KERROC'H TOWER
An unusual tower in the shape of a lighthouse on top of a mound with an octagonal base housing an altar dedicated to Saint Anne.
This unusual tower is the emblem of Ploubazlanec. Set at the top of a hill overlooking the bay of Paimpol, this granite monument in the shape of a lighthouse, which also serves as a bitter, was built in the 19th century, on the idea of the abbot Guennou. At first he thought of building a simple statue of Mary. In the end, a whole tower was erected, topped by an ensemble representing the Virgin, but also her husband Joseph carrying the baby Jesus. Its octagonal base houses an altar dedicated to Saint Anne. From the top, the view on the bay of Paimpol is incredible.
