HAMEAU DU YAUDET
A hamlet that was an active port in ancient times, inviting you to take a stroll and visit the chapel with the reclining Virgin.
Le Yaudet is a beautiful walk, combining nature and heritage. Overlooking the mouth of the Léguer, this strategic site has been occupied since prehistoric times and was an active port in Antiquity. At the summit, the 11th-century chapel of Notre-Dame du Yaudet contains superb ex-voto paintings of ships hanging from the ceiling and a rare representation of the Virgin Mary lying down. The 2 km discovery trail takes you past the small port below, a number of ruins (customs post, guardhouse) and remarkable rocks, such as the Pierre branlante.
