RIBAULT HOUSE
One of the town's oldest half-timbered houses, with two sculptures of pilgrims framing the window.
This is one of the town's oldest half-timbered houses, dating back to the 15th century. It's an imposing corbelled house, with molded window jambs and brackets. Note also the two small sculptures of pilgrims framing the window on the second floor. Nearby, in the heart of old Saint-Brieuc, other buildings are well worth a visit. On Rue Fardel, the 16th-century Hôtel des Ducs de Bretagne was once a renowned inn. Its Renaissance facade features 16 lion's gules and, at the very top, a griffin, the town's emblem.
