CHÂTEAU DU GUILDO
Visit the medieval castle at Guildo, a site steeped in history and host to various shows and events in high season.
Overlooking the ria from its promontory, set in 5 hectares of unspoilt parkland, Château du Guildo has a certain charisma despite its ruined state. Built in the Middle Ages, it was altered several times by its various owners. The Franco-Breton wars of the 15th and 16th centuries took their toll on the château, which was abandoned and even used as a stone quarry in the early 20th century! Partially restored, it now houses panels allowing visitors to project themselves into its history and, in high season, hosts shows and events.
