LE FANAL
Near the harbour is this superb new bookshop. Spread over 200m2, Le Fanal is home to no fewer than 18,000 books held in place by pebbles. Françoise and Hélène, the two booksellers, have already built up a strong relationship with their readers, who come back again and again to discover new stories. Regional works abound, including a Breton detective novel set in Saint-Quay-Portrieux and the story of the Breton who invented the yellow oilskin. The children's sections, as well as the science fiction and detective novels sections, are well stocked.
