The monument has been altered in various ways to give it its distinctive appearance
The menhir of Tiemblais is 8 m high. The originality of the megalith comes from its dimensions and its morphology, which lead to the conclusion that this monument has been retouched at various points to give it its very particular appearance, especially its strong inclination. In 1972, Neolithic motifs were discovered on three of its faces. These engravings are only visible when the lighting allows it, more precisely when the light is low, at sunset.
