One of the largest fire brigade museums in France, it houses a collection of equipment dating from 1648 to 1969
Welcome to one of France's largest fire brigade museums! Located in southern Alsace, the museum houses a collection of equipment dating from 1648 to 1969 in two buildings covering an area of 2,300m2. The museum has taken over the prestigious collection that made up the Musée du Sapeur-pompier de Mulhouse. From 1978 to 2003, the collection was on display at the Musée du Chemin de Fer. The collection includes 260 wheeled vehicles, equipment (material, clothing, unusual objects...) and the switchboard of the former Mulhouse fire station dating from the 20th century. Classified as a Musée de France, the site also includes a library, an audiovisual room and a store.
