Behind the dunes of the Goas Treiz beach, a 22-hectare freshwater marsh is a rich source of water. Made up of ponds, reedbeds, wet meadows and woods, it is home to waterfowl such as marsh warblers, grebes, coots and teal, as well as beautiful ferns and orchids. On part of the site, Camargue horses have been introduced to regulate vegetation. A 2 km discovery trail has been laid out, partly on stilts, with birdwatching stations.
