Church among the oldest Marian sanctuaries in Alsace
This is one of the oldest Marian shrines in Alsace. The only vestige of its past, this church was founded in 991 by the Bishop of Strasbourg, and was the place of pilgrimage for the brotherhood of Ménétriers, weavers and winegrowers of Upper Alsace. A 15th-century wall custode serving as a tabernacle and the Holy Sepulchre, in yellow sandstone, the two stained-glass windows, one representing the Passion of Christ under the arms of Austria, Ferrette and Burgundy and the other, the Virgin or the Tree of Jesse - 1466 -, among the most beautiful in Alsace, and a Virgin and Child located outside the building, make this place a curiosity.
