FALUN HOUSE
The Maison des Faluns is a "nature and heritage" space in the heart of the Falun country which highlights the faluns
Since 2013, La Maison des Faluns, a "nature and heritage" area in the heart of the Falun country, has been highlighting the faluns, the famous sedimentary limestone rocks formed 15 million years ago from shell debris, on the occasion of learning that fifteen million years ago, the shallow and warm Falun Sea covered the eastern part of Brittany, and to imagine life then, with seabeds populated by sharks, manatees and turtles, but also by corals and sea urchins. Much more than a museum, this space is above all a playful and interactive space, where visitors can explore a scenography segmented into 7 thematic rooms on geology, fauna and flora, man and the Faluns..... Children from 10 years old will find the visit interesting. Allow 45 minutes to complete the tour. Free temporary activities and exhibitions are scheduled throughout the year. It should be noted that the Maison des Faluns is a partner of the future Rance Côte d'Émeraude Regional Nature Park as part of its educational, tourist, ecological, cultural and sustainable development missions. Feel free to continue and register for nature outings on foot or by boat, they are very interesting. This is an opportunity to better understand the fauna and flora that surround us and to take a good breath of iodized air at the same time!
