The center of Trégastel is well worth a stroll. Our first recommendation is tovisit the pretty Sainte-Anne chapel, with its typical Breton architecture. Trégastel is renowned for the beauty of its beaches. Quite simply, some of them feel like the Caribbean. Once you've put on your good shoes, don't hesitate to take the Sentier des Douaniers, the famous GR 34 between Trégastel and Ile Renote - one of the most beautiful walks in Brittany - or the paths linking the commune to Perros-Guirec to marvel at the granite chaos plunging into the sea. 7. Admire Costaérès castle

Château de Costaérès is a neo-medieval manor house built on an islet. The building is typical of the large holiday homes of the late 19th century. Built in pink granite, it coexists harmoniously with the surrounding vegetation, sea and rocks. This makes it one of the most beautiful clichés in the region. The islet is accessible at low tide via Tourony beach, but the château is not open to visitors, as it is a private site. A jewel in the crown of local heritage!

8. Spend a day in Ploumanac'h

Ploumanac'h is a typical Côtes d'Armor fishing village near Trégastel. It, too, is surrounded by rock formations dating back 300 million years, nestled between verdant moorland and the turquoise waters of the sea. The walk takes you to the heart of the village, to discover the traditional fishermen's houses known as the Pentys. Then it's on to Saint-Guirec beach to see the eponymous oratory on a rock. The Bastille beach is another marvel, with its translucent waters and pink granite rocks. The day can end with a gentle stroll along Ploumanac'h harbour as the sun sets.

9. Getting to the 7 islands archipelago

The archipelago of 7 islands, a must-see in the Côtes d'Armor, comprises seven main islands - Rouzic, Malban, Les Costans, Bono, Île aux Moines, Île Plate and Le Cerf - as well as several islets. 10. Photograph the most unusual rocks

A stay in Trégastel is an opportunity to see a large number of rocks that are sure to stir the imagination. Just off the Toul-Trez beach, a granite cube called "Le Dé" stands on a rocky mass. From the Coz Pors beach, to the left of a house, "Le Tas de Crêpes" is made of several layers of stone, reminiscent of this typical Breton dish. On a walk along the Presqu'île Renote, one of the rocks has a large notch in it, which is why it's called "La Pince de crabe" (the crab claw). Finally, overlooking the Grève Blanche beach, "La Couronne du roi Gradlon" (King Gradlon's Crown) is inevitably reminiscent of a crown. Climbing this unusual rock offers a magnificent view of Trégastel.

11. Spend some time at the Trégastel Marine Aquarium

TheTrégastel Marine Aquarium is unique in the sense that it is located in the pink rock caves. It's a truly exceptional site, where visitors can discover the full diversity of fauna living in the English Channel. The area is divided into 3 zones: the sea spray zone, the tidal zone and the deep sea zone. Here you can observe fish, rays, seahorses, lobsters and other aquatic plants. There are several routes to discover the Côte de Granit Rose by bike. EuroVelo4 is a well-known itinerary that passes through some charming towns, including Trégastel.
