Castle of the late 60's located 54 m above ground in Ploubalay, view on the Channel Islands on a clear day
This water tower was built at the end of the 1960s. It is emblematic of the region because the top of this building is located at 54 m above the ground in Ploubalay. You can see - on a clear day - the Channel Islands and enjoy an exceptional panorama, from Cap Fréhel to Saint-Malo. Painted in red, it serves as a landmark for the approach circuit of the airport of Pleurtuit. In 2012, part of the parapet surrounding the water tower collapsed on the parking lot without human damage. The creperie with a panoramic view that had been operating for 40 years was closed.
