SCULPTURE "RELIER : À L'ABRI DANS LA MARÉE"
A flooded sculpture has recently emerged in the Marais from the hands of visual artist Nancy Lamontagne, a monument to be discovered
This "flood sculpture" recently emerged in the Marais from the hands of Nancy Lamontagne, a Quebec artist who has lived in Brittany for the past ten years. The artist, who works on the relationship between humans and their environment, drew inspiration from the characteristic elements of the coastline - breakers, bouchots, waves and meanders - to create this poetic and intriguing site-specific work. Somewhere between a collapsing palisade and a soaring promenade, the wooden installation reveals itself and allows itself to be submerged to the rhythm of the tides. An ode to the fragility of our environment.
