Among the many arts and crafts shops in Tréguier, don't miss Ys Paris: this showroom workshop designs jewellery and decorative objects from abalone mother-of-pearl. Sometimes dewy, sometimes golden, it gives elegant pendants, earrings and other bracelets. Trained by one of the last mother-of-pearl makers in metropolitan France, the two sisters at the head of the small company are keen to enhance the value of this noble regional shell. The raw material comes from local fishing and a breeding farm on the island of Groix.
