L'ÎLE AUX ENFANTS
For 16 years now, this cross-border event for children aged 4 to 12 has been organised on the last weekend in June by the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Breisach and the German town of Breisach. These two recreational afternoons take place on the banks of the Rhine in Vogelgrun and consist of around thirty creative and sporting workshops: ball sculptures, karate, soap bubbles, crafts, pony rides. A podium hosts dance, music and sports demonstrations. A show is traditionally scheduled on Saturdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Orchestrated by various local associations with the help of dynamic volunteers, the 2019 edition of L'Île aux Enfants attracted more than 2,000 visitors.
