PONT DE TÉRENEZ
A remarkable bridge in Argol, gateway to the Crozon peninsula, it offers a splendid view over the Aulne valley.
The first bridge to link the two banks of the Aulne, between Argol and Rosnoën, was built in 1913. Destroyed during the Second World War, a second bridge was built in 1952. The current bridge was built in 2011. A true architectural feat, it is the first curved cable-stayed bridge in France, and holds the world record for this type of span, at 515 meters long. The Pont de Térénez has won several awards: the World Infrastructure Award in 2013 and the International Concrete Federation's 2014 prize for the most beautiful work of art.
