PARISH CHURCH

What makes this church unique is its double railing bell tower carrying a granite arrow. For the apse and the transepts, they date from the sixteenth century and are listed as historical monuments. Another peculiarity of "Notre-Dame du Folgoët": it was built bit by bit. The nave dates from the twelfth century, the bell tower was built in 1687, the northern collaterals in 1783 and the southern collaterals in 1787. The aisles are a typical example of the architecture of the eighteenth century in Finistère. The parish church also reveals a very elegant altarpiece with the Louis XIV style and a Vierge opening, unfortunately partially destroyed by a fire incident in 1940. There are only three left in Brittany.
