Dedicated to Veronique who offered her veil to Christ, the chapel, erected in his image in the seventeenth century was built in 1605, in granite. In 1610, the chapel was also dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The sacristy, meanwhile, was added to the south of the apse in 1662. Located above a tributary of Aven, the Sainte-Véronique chapel, also called "La Véronique" is now a listed monument; it is one of six Bannalec chapels.
