The Douarou Koad Kimerc'h organic farm in Bannalec is home to 52 dairy cows of 14 different breeds. In summer, the cows graze in the meadows, while in winter, they are in the barn, feeding on hay. Breeds include Breton cows such as Froment du Léon, Armoricaine, pie rouge and Bretonne pie-noir. Other French breeds include Brune des Alpes, Jersiaise, Vosgienne, Normande, Montbéliarde and Simmentale. Dutch breeds such as Lakenvelder, Fries Hollands, Blaarkop and Maas Rijn Ijsel (MRI) are also present. The farm also sells alpaca meat and wool.
