MADABREST
Madabrest is an association that aims to improve the access of the people of Brest to sustainable, organic and local food.
Created in September 2018, the Madabrest association has long been nurturing the project of a Maison de l'alimentation durable (MAD): a third place of a new kind, dedicated to food, by making and learning to make... A Mecca for the pedagogy of "eating well", in short! As part of the prefiguration of the place, a major online survey was proposed to the inhabitants of the Metropolis, from 23 May to 21 June 2019, called "EAT" ("Territorial Food Equity") to determine the ease of access to the food supply existing in the territory (report available on their website). The association also invited itself to the unusual Capuchin Picnic last summer. The Maison de l'alimentation durable (House of Sustainable Food) was set up this autumn in the Maison des associations de Pen ar Créac'h. Open to all, it offers workshops, conferences and various activities with the aim of making everyone an actor in local food democracy.
