BRETAGNE VIVANTE SEPNB
Founded in 1959 in order to create land ornithological reserves, the Society for the Study and Conservation of Nature in Brittany (SEPNB) expanded its cluster of activities. Now its role is to deal with all the environmental problems of all 5 departments of historic Brittany. Recognised as a public utility 10 years after its creation, the association now has nearly 3 000 members, employees and many activists. And it is one of the major regional conservation associations in France. These are about 5 protected natural sites, including state natural reserves, which are managed by SEPNB. His active members are expressed in three publications in Brittany Living (biannual for the general public) Penn ar Bed (quarterly Quarterly), and L'Ermine Equinox (quarterly for children).
