SKED
SKED is an essential association for learning all about the Breton language and culture. Founded in 1991, SKED has two main activities: teaching Breton (beginners and advanced) in Brest and the surrounding area, and organizing and taking part in various cultural events. For example, the association takes part in Skrivadeg (a Breton-language dictation held every year in March), the Printemps des sonneurs with Kevrenn, the Ridaleg race and many other one-off events. But SKED also offers classes in Breton and Irish dance, embroidery, the history of Brittany's culture and heritage, traditional sports and games, as well as music and theater.
