COLLECTION CEMETERY
To access one of the oldest cemeteries in Brest, on the right bank, you have to climb rue Anatole-France: the two entrances are rue Frégate-Laplace and rue Alexis-Le-Moigne. Once arrived in this place of memory and contemplation, the visitor enjoys a magnificent view of Brest, particularly over the bridge of Recouvrance, the port and the harbour. Famous people from Brest are buried here, such as Jean-Michel Caradec, poet and musician, or Francis Le Blé, whose stadium in Brest bears the name. Magnificent tombs from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries are of architectural interest. Propitious to calm and reflection, the cemetery is open every day.
