SIAM STREET
Rue de Siam is one of the city's most important meeting, social and shopping areas.
An emblematic artery of the Ponant city, Rue de Siam stretches from Place de la Liberté to Pont de Recouvrance, and owes its name to the arrival of ambassadors from the King of Siam (now Thailand) in 1686. Magnified by Prévert and Miossec, it is one of the city's most important shopping and social venues. Entirely pedestrianized and served along its entire length by the streetcar, it's easy to take advantage of its many boutiques. The lower part of the street, lined with restaurants, bars and terraces, is very lively, both at lunchtime and in the evening.
