Alignment of menhirs, emblematic of Lagatjar, witness of the presence of the people in the peninsula of Crozon since millenniums

The emblematic site of Lagatjar is the indisputable witness of the presence of peoples in the Crozon peninsula for millennia. Impossible today to realize its exact extent. 700 menhirs were still there in the 18th century. Listed as historical monuments since 1883, they were restored in 1928. The 65 stones raised now reach three meters for the most imposing. These stones continue to fuel conversations about their origin and the meaning to be given to their construction.

Dans le royaumme de Obélix
Sans la grandeur de Carnac, mais ils sont un point de visite incontournable dans la région. Nous les avons visités un jour de brouillard qui a ajouté un air mystérieux au champ de menhirs.

Beaucoup moins nombreux qu'à Carnac, ces alignements de menhirs sont tout de même un magnifique témoin de notre passé, en sachant qu'au départ il y en avait beaucoup plus!
Certains ont une forme pour le moins originale (on peut notamment en croiser un en forme de "poule")!
De plus les alentours sont vraiment magnifiques!

Les alignements de Lagatjar sont aujourd'hui réduit à 80 alors qu'il en comptait environs 600. Situé à Camaret sur Mer. Ils valent eux aussi le détour.

Lieu rempli de mystère. Intéressant et intriguant de voir ce site qui date d'il y a des siècles. Les enfants ont adoré se promener entre les menhirs.
