SAINT-TREMOR CHURCH
Parish church built around 1370 on the site of a Benedictine priory founded in the 12th century
This parish church and former collegiate church of Saint-Tremeur was built in 1370 on the site of a Benedictine priory founded in the twelfth century. The saint to whom this church is dedicated appears at the right place on the tympanum of the gate. A bell tower-door was affixed by 1530 on the western facade of the collegiate church. It was listed as a historic monument in 1921. The entrance gate and the bay of the rostrum are topped by a gothic style ogee arch and its upper part influenced by re-emergent art. At that time, a granite arrow surmounted the Saint-Tremeur tower, with all of it reaching a height of 75 metres! Unfortunately, she was struck down in 1575 ... The other parts of the church were rebuilt in neo-Gothic style in 1880 following the architectural plans a diocesan from Saint-Brieuc called Guerranic.
