Aquatic observatory in Châteaulin, to observe migratory fish and learn more about their life cycles.

This unique facility in Finistère allows you to observe migratory fish but also to explain their life cycles. A room surrounded by picture windows located in the heart of the Aulne allows the observation of the flows of migratory fish such as Atlantic salmon, shad or lamprey, and not necessarily at the same time. Video monitoring allows digital files to be collected, and each individual to be identified and counted very precisely, with the possibility of characterising their length or distinctive marks.

Observatoire fermé alors que c est marqué ouvert. Personne ne répond au tel.... la France quoi...

A défaut d’avoir pu visiter l’observatoire nous avons fait la rencontre de ce charmant goéland unijambiste en pleine lutte contre un hameçon et son fil. Malgré une tentative de sauvetage nous n’avons pu réussir à l’enlever. En dehors de cet incident malencontreux, l’environnement est splendide et les horaires vont être mis à jour d’après le secrétariat de la région Bretagne.
