OUR LADY OF PEACE CHAPEL
Originally built in Nizon, a small town in Pont-Aven, this chapel was transported and rebuilt in 1956, stone by stone, on its current site by the architect Pierre Brunerie. Her first nickname, the "hand lamp", comes from there. The chapel dates from the first half of the 16th century, some architectural elements of its choir date from the second half of the 15th century, while its stained glass windows are the work of two 20th century artists: Manessier and Le Moal. This harmonious combination of the modern and the old will give it its second nickname of "the artists' chapel"... In memory of the painters who stayed at Le Pouldu, notably Gauguin, a memorial in the form of engraved stones was erected at the entrance.
