House allowing to relive the atmosphere of the inn of the time of Gauguin and the painters of the school of Pont-Aven.
The Maison Musée du Pouldu is only a few metres from the original, in a twin house. It is in fact a historical and documented reconstruction of the "Buvette de la Plage" (Beach Drink) run by Marie-Henry, then known as "Marie Poupée", where, during the winter of 1889, Paul Gauguin, Meyer de Haan, settled and decorated the walls, doors, windows and ceilings of the dining room. From 1189 to 1893, other artists such as Paul Sérusier and Filiger lived in the inn. Today, the house-museum is divided into three areas dedicated to memory (sound and visual scenography), interpretation and temporary exhibitions. Different types of visits are offered, from guided tours to independent tours. Once again this year, the Maison Musée du Pouldu is programming several artistic and cultural events, conferences and new exhibitions... A beautiful discovery. Please note: the independent visits are made with a digital tablet. During the holidays, family activities are offered for young and old alike: introductory courses, artistic workshops, etc. Other important information: starting from the Pouldu museum house, the Chemin des Peintres (Painters' Way) will offer you fifteen stops to plunge into the mechanisms of inspiration of the artists who came to paint this corner of France. To relive the atmosphere of the hostel in the time of Gauguin and the painters of the Pont-Aven school, this is an ideal combo!

Après la visite il vous est suggéré un petit circuit alentour court ou plus long avec possibilité de voir quelques maisons d'époque et d'emprunter le sentier côtier ce qui est très sympa.
